SOOTH play their final shows
Written by Administrator    Sunday, 29 March 2009

Well it is a sad day indeed. After an 8 year long journey which took us around the country from Inverness to Leeds and almost everywhere in between, Sooth have decided to call it a day and will play our final gigs within the next two weeks.

We have had an amazing time over the years and have met many interesting people, and have really enjoyed rawking out for you, especially when we could see that you were enjoying it as much as we were. We have really appreciated the support that you all have given us by coming to the gigs, singing along, and letting us know when you like our songs - it did make the difference and made it so worthwhile when people enjoyed the songs and shows that we worked so hard on.

Unfortunately real life has got in the way for some of us however and the work involved in keeping a rawk band going has meant that something had to give, so we decided today that Sooth will be no more. We are all still extremely keen in music and will all continue to play and write in bands and side projects for as long as we are capable. We remain the best of friends and will never forget the times that we have had together, and whilst we are saddened that Sooth has come to an end, we look forward to the new projects that will come in the future. We will finish recording 'No More Secrets' in the studio in April, which will be available online as the last Sooth release.

So, the penultimate Sooth gig will be on Tuesday 31st March at Ivory Blacks in Glasgow, and it is fitting that Sooth will play their last ever gig at Starka in Motherwell on Friday 10th April, where we have played so often throughout the years and had many great nights. We hope to see you there for a final rawk out before we close one of the best chapters of our lives.

Thank you all,

DeeJay, Malcy, Brian, and Dave
